Message from the Headteacher.
Welcome to the Temporary Glyncoch Primary website, the New Glyncoch Primary School situated in the heart of Glyncoch, Pontypridd, will be openning in Feb 2027
As the proud Headteacher of the new school, I understand that as a parent/carer one of the most important decisions you will make is the decision to choose the right school for your child and this is a responsibility we do not take lightly.
Our vision for all our pupils is that a happy child is a successful child, where we aim to provide all children with a safe, positive, and stimulating environment, where they all feel loved and valued. We aspire that all children will enjoy their learning, achieve their potential, and become independent life-long learners who are ready to take on the world!
My role is to be the strategic school leader working in partnership with my excellent Leadership Team, staff and skilled governors to facilitate an ambitious curriculum which provides inspiration and equitable opportunity for all pupils.
It means tackling barriers to learning caused by disadvantage and inequality so that all children can be ambitious for their future, we understand that our learning goes beyond the classroom. We want children to know they can succeed because they have the necessary skills, attitudes, and values to be a good person who contributes to school life and beyond.
Here in Glyncoch Primary, we have a highly skilled staff who have constructed and developed an ever developing, stimulating, and engaging curriculum in an environment where pupils feel safe and happy and are able to enjoy their learning and friendships. Our curriculum embeds knowledge, skills, and values as well as building on each school’s traditions and customs. The Leadership team, whole staff and I believe in transparent and trusting relationships between home and school in order to help us act in the best interests of all our pupils.
We hope this website will give you all the necessary information you require, however if you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact either school office.
Regards
Emma Byers
